Nice
An adjective that to the untrained eye/ear reads as a positive reaction within a creative context. Within this sphere the term in fact denotes a general apathy thinly cloaked as a pleasantry.
“I liked the exhibition, it was nice. Will I remember it in a week? No, but it was nice.”
Exception: If used with exaggerated vocal inflection and/or gestures which imply tightness, the term means something closer to absolute unflinching perfection.
“I don't know how to describe the performance, but it was *nice*.”
